St.Louis MO to Council Bluffs Iowa

No image today. I tried uploading a scene from The Music Man, since we are now in Iowa (Council Bluffs). So far, no Trouble (with a capital T that rhymes with P that stands for pool!)
     Today was devoted solely to travel, so just a long drive. We noticed that the routes in Missouri are labeled with letters rather than numbers. Jesse calculated the permutations to be over 600 (since some were doubles, such as YY, VV, DD). He also enlightened me about base 2 and base 16 and how the colors for digital images are coded using 3 pairs in base 16 (or was that base 22?). This will be a long trip.

     We found a familiar sight among our fellow travelers. My favorites are Butterscotch Krimpets.
Our travel goal for tomorrow is Council Bluffs Iowa to Chamberlain, South Dakota. That will put us only a few hours from our next visit, to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse
FUN FACT: We saw those mobile screens that are set up by the side of the road to warn people about construction dates/ detours (like the one by the Tastycake truck). Outside St. Louis on I-70 they said, "Solar Elcipse 8/21 Expect Delays." The signs on I-29 outside St.Joseph MO said, "Eclipse Aug 21, Plan Ahead."
